So all of my Alternative Winter Break comrades (mostly) are off doing their things and I wanted to keep up with their updates.
Big shout-outs to El Paso (Mara and Aimee), Bahamas (Raakhee and Kristina), and Gaston (Sophie and Rachel). I hope y'all are having a great time.
In preparation for spring break, Sophie and I met to discuss trip details. We're working on finalizing the itinerary, setting up meetings with community organizations, amongst other things.
It's sort of crazy, but we actually start our trips in eight (8!) weeks. We have a few Trip Leader Trainings up until then, but we're bumping against another year of Alternative Break Programs (no longer just ASB) being complete.
At that, it will be my last break as a student at Maryland. It'll be great. Because it's the week that lasts a lifetime.
